Six Cedar Creek High School students were recently recognized at the Capital Area Optimist Clubs’ Youth Appreciation Week. The Central Texas Optimist clubs hosted the 43rd Annual Youth Appreciation Week at the State Capitol in the House of Representatives Chambers on Sunday, April 9, 2017. All area high schools were invited to participate.

The Youth Appreciation Week program is designed to recognize Senior students that have attained a level of achievement deserving of recognition in 22 scholastic categories. CCHS submitted students in four categories: Science, Computer Science, English, and Female Athlete.

All students who were nominated received a Certificate of Achievement. The top student (one male and female) in each category were presented with an engraved plaque.
